🎉 It’s a… state!
Tune in to watch a recap of Seed the Vote’s official 2026 Fall States Reveal Party!
After months of poring over data, debating strategy, talking with partners across the country, and spending way too much time staring at election maps, we’re finally ready to announce where we’ll be organizing this fall.
If we’re going to win back the House, fight for the Senate, and build long-term progressive power, we need thousands of volunteers knocking doors in the right places. Come find out where—and start planning your fall canvassing adventure.
Here’s the State of Play:

•Randy Villegas, California-22. Partner: Dolores Huerta Action Fund. This race has flipped from toss-up to Lean Democratic after Prop 50 redrew the map. Randy is a small business owner and education leader in Bakersfield, and won the primary despite massive outside spending.
•Amish Shah, Arizona-1. Partner: Worker Power. Shah is a physician running in an open seat and one of the most competitive House races in the country, running against a Trump-recruited NFL player with zero governing experience.
• James Talarico, Texas-Senate. Partner: AFT Texas. On track to be closest Texas Senate race since 1988, Talarico is currently leading Ken Paxton in the polls, due in part to Paxton’s own scandals and to softening support within his party.
• Katy Padilla Stout, Texas-23. Partner: Texas Organizing Project. A once-safe Democratic Austin-San Antonio seat redrawn in 2025 to shed most of Austin and add GOP-leaning suburbs, this is now a majority-Latino, working-class district where Padilla Stout is running to address the affordability crisis and to end Trump’s reckless economic policies.
• Abdul El-Sayed, Michigan-Senate. Partner: Michigan United Action. Just won the most expensive Democratic Senate primary in U.S. history, riding a wave of grassroots organizing against an 11-to-1 spending gap.
• Will Lawrence, Michigan-7. Partner: Michigan United Action. A Sunrise Movement founder and tenants’ rights organizer who just flipped his primary in one of 45 nationally targeted House pickups.
• Bob Harvie, Pennsylvania-1. Partner: APIPA. This Bucks county seat is one of toughest of Pennsylvania’s swing districts, and Harvie is the county Commissioner’s Chair running against Brian Fitzpatrick, a self-branded moderate who votes with Trump 75% of the time.
