What is a pod?

Here at Seed the Vote, we really like plant metaphors. A pod is a group of people who canvass together, build community together, and motivate each other through the fall. Your pod might be your book club, your coworkers, your cycling buddies, your congregation, or four friends who decided that this election is too important to sit out. Pods travel together to battleground states, knock doors together, and debrief over dinner afterward.

They work because so much about canvassing is relationships. That’s true for the conversations we have at the door, and it’s just as true for the people we knock alongside. Volunteers who canvass with their people knock more doors, come back for more shifts, and have a much better time doing it.

Why pods matter this year

Nearly half of our volunteers come to Seed the Vote through a pod, and this year we’ve set a goal of 600 pods, because that’s what it takes to double, triple, even fifty times our impact and defeat MAGA. Every pod leader who steps up multiplies the number of doors we can reach in the states that will decide control of Congress.

What pod leaders get

You don’t need a ton of canvassing experience. We’ll get you materials, training, and coaches to ensure for your pod’s success. You bring the people and we’ll get you everything you need.
