I’m writing to you from the Dolores Huerta Action Fund office in Bakersfield, where I’ve gotten to see the incredible dedication and hard work of our volunteers and the DHAF team. There’s so much excitement here for the blue tsunami. These midterms were a wipeout for MAGA and Trump.
Every candidate we canvassed for in 2026 won, including:
🌱 Abdul El-Sayed, U.S. Senate, Michigan
🌱 James Talarico, U.S. Senate, Texas
🌱 Will Lawrence, MI-07
🌱 Donavan McKinney, MI-13
🌱 Katy Padilla Stout, TX-23
🌱 Bob Harvie, PA-01
🌱 Bob Brooks, PA-07
🌱 Amish Shah, AZ-01
🌱 Randy Villegas, CA-22
I can’t thank everyone enough for giving so much of themselves to this work. There’s no way we would have won this big without all of you pouring your hearts and souls and blood and sweat and tears into this.
These results confirm what decades of organizing have taught us: persuasion happens through deep listening and human connection, one conversation at a time. It happens at the door, face to face, voter to voter.

This year, hundreds of volunteers showed up to ensure we won EVERY primary we organized in. Then, we took on some of the toughest general election races in the country. In Bakersfield, in Michigan, in Texas, in Pennsylvania, and in Arizona, people came out despite voter suppression, voter intimidation, and billions of dollars from Elon Musk and the oligarchs. In every corner of the country, people power beat corporate power.
WE did that! Through our partners on the ground, organizations sending their volunteers, pod leaders, and beyond, this community is helping people have their voices heard. Our volunteers proved again and again that many voters would never have made it to the polls without our help and our convincing that THEIR VOICE MATTERS.
You have to be in the field to experience it, but the sense of solidarity is unmatched. Just this week, our volunteers talked to voters who were formerly incarcerated, or who just got their citizenship, or who told us they “didn’t do politics.” Then, after talking to one of our canvassers, they decided to take that step for the first time.
And this weekend, we hit a milestone: Seed the Vote volunteers have now knocked over one million doors since we started. Over one million conversations to uplift working people and build a multi-racial, cross-class movement.
As I write this, here in the home of Dolores Huerta and the farm workers movement, being their guest is a real honor and a blessing. Since her passing, lots and lots of people have come through and built a beautiful altar here in her memory.
We are channeling the persistence, determination, and fortitude of Dolores Huerta. We carried her spirit and her legacy to every door we knocked, through all the long nights and the long days. We won for Dolores, and for all the many, many movement elders who have paved the way before us.
Right now, we’re reaching out to movement allies in Mississippi, Alaska, and North Carolina to see if they have a need for ballot curing support. We will keep you posted.
Time and again, Seed the Vote volunteers exponentially grow our local partners’ voter reach, making race-deciding impacts in some of the most important elections across the country.

Thank you to the Dolores Huerta Action Fund, Worker Power, Texas AFT, Michigan United Action, APIPA, and every partner who opened their doors to us. And thank you to every one of you.
¡Sí se puede! ¡Sí se pudo!
